`
`STANDING ORDER RE:
`CRIMINAL AND CIVIL
`JURY TRIAL
`SUSPENSION
`
`AND NOW, this 5th day of February, 2021, the Court having considered the
`continuing impact of the global coronavirus pandemic, in Delaware and across the nation;
`the small number of jury trials on the Court’s calendar for the next two months; the
`Court’s ongoing success in handling all types of proceedings other than jury trials; the
`decisions of numerous other District Courts to suspend jury trials for some additional
`period; the discretion that remains with each presiding judge to order a jury trial in the
`event of an emergency or other truly urgent situation; the Court’s Reopening Guidelines
`(issued June 15, 2020); and, input from the Court’s Reopening Committee (which
`continues to meet regularly),
`IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that all jury trials in the District of Delaware are
`CANCELLED until on or after April 5,2021.
