`On December 6, 2019, Patent Owner Refined Technologies, Inc. served
`
`Petitioner with a lawsuit in the Southern District of Texas (Houston Division),
`
`alleging infringement of U.S. Patent No. 9,017,488 (“the ‘488 patent”)—the patent-
`
`at-issue in this proceeding. The lawsuit is styled Refined Technologies, Inc. v. United
`
`Laboratories International, LLC, Case No. 4:19-cv-4676.
`
`Further, Petitioner filed a separate petition for inter partes review of U.S.
`
`Patent No. 8,480,812 (“the ‘812 patent”) on August 23, 2019, the same day the
`
`petition in this proceeding was filed. The ‘488 patent is a continuation of U.S.
`
`Application No. 13/936,807, which is a continuation-in-part of the application that
`
`issued as the ‘812 patent. The proceeding number for the ‘812 patent is IPR2019-
`
`01540.
