`Bristol-Myers Squibb has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its anticancer drug Taxol (paclitaxel) in the treatment of
`refractory breast cancer.
`
`The supplemental indication approval, four months after its recommendation, is for treatment of the disease within six months of combination
`chemotherapy failure, provided that prior therapy has included an anthracycline unless clinically contraindicated. The approved treatment dosage
`is 175mg/m2 infused over three hours every three weeks.
