`
`1. A method for automatic location based exchange processing by a mobile data
`processing system, the method comprising:
`presenting a user interface to a user of the mobile data processing system,
`the user interface for configuring privilege data relating the mobile data
`processing system with a remote data processing system, the privilege data
`stored local to the mobile data processing system and searched upon receipt of
`whereabouts data received for processing by the mobile data processing system;
`receiving, for processing by the mobile data processing system, the
`whereabouts data including an originating identity of the whereabouts data;
`¶
`searching, by the mobile data processing system, the privilege data stored
`local to the mobile data processing system for a matching privilege upon the
`receiving, for processing by the mobile data processing system, the whereabouts
`data, wherein the matching privilege is configured for relating the originating
`identity of the whereabouts data with a destination identity of the
`whereabouts data to permit trigger of a privileged action for the receipt of
`whereabouts data received for processing by the mobile data processing system;
`and
`
`performing the privileged action at the mobile data processing system
`upon finding the matching privilege, after the searching, by the mobile data
`processing system, the privilege data stored local to the mobile data processing
`system.

`
`[0181] With specific reference to FIG. 12, a preferences
`profile from a person using a mobile device is stored in step
`1202. Various examples of preferences profiles are within
`the scope of the embodiment of the invention. In a first
`example, the stored preferences profile indicates types of
`informational content with which the person using the
`mobile device desires to be presented. In such first example,
`a type of informational content is denoted as presentable if
`it matches a type of informational content indicated in the
`preferences profile. In a second example, the stored prefer-
`ences profile indicates types of informational content with
`which the person using the mobile device does not desire to

`be presented. In such second example, a type of informa-
`tional content is denoted as not presentable if it matches a
`type of informational content indicated in the preferences
`profile.
`
`[0025] Avsixth aspect of the Invention includes a method
`of receiving and storing within a mobile device certain
`broadcasts to the exclusion of other broadcasts. The method
`includes the steps of: storing a preferences profile from a
`person using the mobile device, wherein the preferences
`profile represents the types of informational content with
`which the person using the mobile device desires to be
`presented; receiving a plurality of broadcasts, wherein each
`broadcast includes both informational content for presenta-
`tion to a person and broadecast-identifying information; and
`for each respective broadcast that is received, screening the
`broadcast against the received preferences profile to deter-
`mine whether the respective informational content of the
`respective broadcast is to be stored within the mobile device.
`
`In method 1000 of FIG, 10, the stored preferences
`[0176]
`profile indicates types of informational content with which
`the person using the mobile device desires to be presented,

`that has arisen from spam and the solution of creating a
`“block sender”list, a similar problem and consequent solu-

`tion may arise in systems and methods of the present
`invention. In this regard,
`the preferences profile actually
`may indicate informational content with which the person
`using the mobile device desires not to be presented. This

`
`[0004] There are many application scenarios where the
`typical information requestwill be highly dependenton the
`location and likely to be identical or similar for many
`requesters at that location. For example, a restaurant may
`want to announce its daily menu to every passer-by. This has
`led to the proposal to add a broadcast mode to Bluetooth, so
`that a beacon at a certain location could communicate with
`potentially many mobile devices in its reach. The broadcast
`mode would solve some of the restrictions in the current
`
`definition of Bluetooth 1.1, and iveule enable a connec-
