`actually feel that you are in the real working world.Doc does not talk concepts he tells what happens in real
`Maintenance World and how to go to World Class Maintenance Management practices using 6 planning and 6
`scheduling principals. I like the way Doc takes a reader through planning and scheduling of maintenance work by
`examples which makes this book different from other books, you cant find other texts doing this unless you are in
`the classroom. The Appendix about Work Order System is a million bonus for those who want to develop their
`SoP (Standart Operation Procedure). I will stick to this book as a reference in the process of developing a World-
`Class Maintenance Organization.I will also recommend this book to Maintenance Project Managers and
`Maintenance Management Consultants of any system (take it from me I am in aviation and I am applying his

`This book thoroughly covers a topic not covered by many books anywhere, and for having no competition, it is
`still a great book. This book contains the "how" of running an industrial plant maintenance program, and the "why"
`of having a planning group. It has an excellent section complete with statistics to prove that planning saves more
`money than it costs. It also covers how to "sell" planning to manager groups. There are roll-out plans, metrics
`plans, and "a-day-in-the-life-of" scenarios from real industrial plants.
`
`It is a bit of a dry read, but how could this topic ever be exciting? I would recommend this book to any industrial
`maintenance supervisor,planner, or manager.

`Wow, the great thing about this book is its appendices. He tackles all problems you can imagine concerning
`maintenance, nothing is left behind. If you've worked in the area before, you will notice the author talks about
`those delicate issues you faced while working in the maintenance department. "What if the technician fools the
`scheduled plan's work hour? What if management consider too many metrics but doesn't know how to interpret
`them? And so forth. When I bought this book it was pretty expensive, but it was well worth the price!

`I actually regret not reading this book earlier. This would save me lots of time while fulfilling the maintenance
`planner responsibilities. I reccomend this handbook to all new planners and to managers preparing to turn their
`company's maintenance to proactive and predictive. Of course it has some minor faults, but still provides many
`useful information.
