`
`The Storagepath SP-8FC Series of Rack Mount and Tower Mass Storage Systems provide a complete mass
`storage solution using the newest Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop fc Magnetic Drives. The new FC-AL
`drives are hot pluggable into the SP-8BFC passive backplane system, which provides Loop Fault bypass
`technology and repeater modules for cable runs up to 10 Kilometers using Fiber Cable, hot swappable
`logic modules and dual redundant hot swappable power supplies. This entire package is encased in an all
`steel cabinet with steel Drive Canisters, cooled with a unique cooling design from Storagepath known as
`Pass Through TM Cooling Technology.
`
`The SP-8BFC Series offers a total package for FC-AL Mass Storage Solutions, and can be used for
`applications such as JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks), and Raid (Redundant Array of Independent Disks).
`These systems are based on the massive speed technology of up to 1 Gigabits per second provided for by
`the Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop protocol.
`
`The SP-8BFC Series supports a wide variety of
`FC-AL host adapters, and can be purchased
`separately or bundled with a FC-AL host
`adapter, Fibre Channel Drives, and additional
`FC- AL products. The SP-8BFC will support
`multiple FC-AL speeds including full duplex
`data transfers of 266 Mbits/sec, 530 Mbits/sec,
`and 1.062 Gbits/sec. The SP-8BFC provides
`compatibility with single FC-AL loops, as well
`as dual parallel and dual redundant loops.
`Speed, Performance, and Security of operations
`make SP-8BFC Fibre Channel Mass Storage
`Systems the right choice for any speed intensive
`
`application such as Video on Demand, Mass imaging, and Graphic Applications.
