`construction and is provided with two arms 132, which are
`respectively pivoted at the free end with the two side rods
`123 of the backrest 12, and at
`the midsegment with two
`longitudinal side rods 114 of the seat 11. The backrest
`support frame 13 has a crown portion 134. which is located
`under one longitudinal end of the seat 11.
`The base structure 20 is formed of an upright rod 21, a
`plurality of caster seat arms 22 extending radially from the
`bottom end of the upright rod 21, a support plate 23 mounted
`V on the top end of the upright rod 21 and provided with a
`plurality of fastening holes 24, and a cover plate 40 corre-
`sponding in shape and size to the support plate 23. the cover
`plate -10 is provided with a plurality of fastening holes and
`is fastened to the support plate 23 by a plurality of fastening
`bolLs 25 which are received in the fastening holes of the
`support plate 23 and the cover plate 40. The cover plate 40
`is intended to conceal the support plate 23 and to fasten the
`base structure 20 to the seat structure 10 in conjunction with
`the support plate 23. In other words, tie base structure 20 is
`fastened with the two support rods 112 of the seat 11 of the
`seat structure 10 by the fastening bo ts 25.
`As shown in FIGS. 1-4, the dua -purpose chair of the

`The two side rods I23 of the backrest 12 of the seat
`structure 10 are pivotally fastened wi h the two longitudinal
`side rods 114 of the seat 11 by a pivoting block 30 which is
`provided at one end with a first pivoting hole 31, at other end
`with a second pivoting hole 34, and a receiving slot 33. The
`side rods 123 of the backrest 12 are pivoted with the side
`rods 114 of the seat 11 by the pivoting block 30 such that the
`side rod 11-1 of the seat 11 is received in the receiving slot
`33 of the pivotiug block 30, and that a first pivot 32 is
`fastened with the side rod 114 of the seat 11 via the first
`pivoting hole 31, and that the other end of the pivoting block
`30 is fastened with the side rod 123 of the backrest 12 by a
`,_ second pivot 35 via the second pivoting hole 34. As a result,
`the backrest 12 can be swiveled in relation to the seat 11 such
`that the backrest 12 can be turned on a pivoting point 136 of
`the backrest support frame 13 toward the front end of the
`seat 11, as indicated by an arrow in FIG. 4.
`In Light of the pivoting blocks 30, the seat structure 10 of
`the present invention can be folded such that the backrest 12
`and the seat 11 are joined together, as shown in FIG. 6.
`The embodiment of the present invention described above
`is to be regarded in all respects as being illustrative and
`nonrestrictive. Accordingly,
`the present invention may be
`embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the
`spirit thereof. The present invention is therefore to be limited
`only by the scopes of the following claims.
