`
`Re: REAL-TIME TECHNICAL ANALYSIS DATA SIGNAL
`
`1.0 Introduction
`
`Markets-Alert has developed and patented the world’s first real-time
`technical analysis scanning and alerting system and is now offering this
`exciting new technology direct to Stock and Commodity Exchanges as a
`revenue generating value-add proposition.
`
`2.0 Existing Systems and Methodolooies
`
`All traders, whether they trade actively on a daily basis or at less frequent
`intervals, seek to obtain a trading advantage by acquiring knowledge in
`advance of other traders. By obtaining knowledge, the trader buys or sells
`stocks or commodities on the expectation that future price movements will
`result in a successful conclusion to the trade. This “knowledge” is obtained
`from numerous sources including the print and electronic media, full service
`brokers and tipping services, and increasingly by technical analysis.
`
`Technical traders are, however, faced with the dual problems of being
`unable to constantly monitor all stocks in the market in order to find
`potential trading opportunities, and, once a trade has been initiated, timing
`the point at which to close or conclude the trade.

`
`Traders attempt to solve these problems by using proprietary computer
`software; the trader typically first downloads a block of trading data to his
`computer and then initiates a scan of the data in order find stocks that match
`his selected criteria. The problem that all traders face with this solution is
`that the data is no longer real—time due to time delays associated with the
`data download and management process, plus additional delays associated
`with the scanning process. The data and scan results can be hours old
`meaning that the trader is unable to efficiently find trades or maximise
`potential returns.
`
`
`3.0 The Markets—Alert Scanner
`
`The Markets-Alert Scanner solves the trader‘s time delay dilemma by
`actively scanning the entire market in real-time for the trader’s preset
`technical queries and by alerting the trader to scan results immediately on
`the close of requested timestamps right down to the minute throughout the
`trading day. This means that the trader is receiving technical analysis data in
`complete synchronicity with the timing of the market and his ability to
`search out and complete trades is greatly enhanced.
`
`The Markets-Alert scanner achieves this unparalleled speed because it is
`server based using the very latest in computer chip technology, and, because
`the system builds the alerts as the market trades.
`

`
`Strong market demand for this type of service exists with many thousands of
`traders worldwide using various types of data download scanning systems.
`It is well known that traders are constantly seeking new technologies with
`the potential to provide a trading advantage and it is firmly believed that
`they will be fast adopters of this new scanning technology.
`
`In addition, attracting foreign traders to Exchange s is made difficult by
`trader’s lack of knowledge of foreign firms and exchange products, but by
`utilizing the international “language” oftechnical analysis, it will become
`easier to develop this market segment. Asian traders in particular are
`predominately intra-day and momentum based in their trading style and are
`expected to be ready users of the Markets-Alert Scanner.

`5.0 CommercialConsiderations
`
`Markets-Alert is in negotiations with a number of brokerage firms to provide
`outsourced market scanning capabilities however we are prepared to
`consider an exclusive license arrangement with SGX for the scanning of it’s
`data on mutually acceptable commercial terms. Any such commercial
`arrangement would, by necessity, include an exclusive license fee and an
`ongoing end-user license fee structure.
`
`6.0 Conclusion
`
`The Markets-Alert Scanner is a powerful new tool that has been rigorously
`tested over the past two years by professional traders and numerous
`enhancements have been made in order to meet the needs of the market. We
`
`are in the final stages of commercialisation of the scanner however we are
`prepared to set aside a period of time in order to assess possible partnership
`opportunities with SGX.
`
`We trust that you will find this brief overview of interest and we look
`forward to meeting with SGX in due course in order to fully demonstrate the
`platform.
