Document IPR2016-01885, No. 2008-30 Exhibit - Exhibit 2008 (P.T.A.B. Jun. 19, 2017)
Since ‘Avatar + Function’ is substantially our action for blinding Korea Media Rating Board, it has been changed through some modification and a variation of page locations based on existing resources rather than through a specific planning of its contents and objective.
Thus, we did not prepare a planning paper relevant thereto, but instead we requested a scheme of page configuration and a user interface for items.
- Power Chance: Charged three times of gained money in use (5-million won at maximum in three times) Each item takes a form of avatar and an avatar is added to its wardrobe when purchased.
(Although not developed yet, when a client uses the Black Rose in a game, a Black Rose Avatar appears to undertake a specific action and at the same time to proceed until a level to which an item function is performed)
Namely, avatars show facial expressions or perform other actions when emoticons such as “^^” and “” are input.

2014 Exhibit: Exhibit 2014

Document IPR2016-01885, No. 2014-36 Exhibit - Exhibit 2014 (P.T.A.B. Jun. 19, 2017)
1) The term GAMVATAR: We have not received prior art search instructions; however, according to our search as necessary for drafting the application, we learned that GAMVATAR is an avatar related to a corresponding game and a specific game-exclusive avatar, and also, has been used as a term of the art.
2) With respect to the content of the invention, although the inventor describes that GAMVATAR is provided as an avatar for four game item functions (Black Knight, Black Rose, Nonstop, and Power Chance) offered by HANGAM, we understand from the descriptions of the invention that any avatar may be provided by combining a specific game item function with its corresponding layer.
Therefore, in the draft application, we drafted claims respectively directed to character service methods, character generation methods and a character service system, and also added corresponding descriptions.
In other words, in addition to the descriptions of providing a complete GAMVATAR, we drafted the application of which the main concept is generating and providing GAMVATAR combining a game item function according to a user selection.
Please review the additional descriptions and let us know any suggestions for revision.
