2003 Exhibit: Ex 2003 GDSII 2 Layout Editor Documentation

Document IPR2024-00476, No. 2003 Exhibit - Ex 2003 GDSII 2 Layout Editor Documentation (P.T.A.B. May. 9, 2024)
GDS II is a database file format which is the industry standard for data exchange of integrated circuit or IC layout artwork.
It is a binary file format representing planar geometric shapes, text labels, and other information about the layout in hierarchical form.
Objects contained in a GDS II file are grouped by assigning numerical attributes to them including "layer number", "datatype" or "texttype".
Set Maximal Number of Points in Polygons Version 3 of the GDS II file format limits the maximum size of polygons/path elements to 200 vertices.
Option: Multi XY Records Due to the GDSII file format's block structure, the maximum size of polygons is limited to 8192.

2001 Exhibit: Ex 2001 McAlexander Declaration

Document IPR2024-00476, No. 2001 Exhibit - Ex 2001 McAlexander Declaration (P.T.A.B. May. 9, 2024)
For example, as will be discussed throughout my report, even a person with the level of knowledge or experience described by Dr. Houh or adopted by the Board would not have a reasonable expectation of success in implementing certain aspects of the proposed combination as of the priority date of the ’899 Patent.
… Module 24 then determines the optimal configuration for the design by selecting the processor that most closely matches the specified parameters and providing any additional functionality in software either at the application, middleware or operating system level.
- designed and managed development, testing, and evaluation of devices including Dynamic Random Access Memories (DRAMs), Static Random Access Memories (SRAMs), Charge Coupled Devices (CCDs), Shift Registers (SRs), and functional circuits including I/O buffers for address and data, decoders, clocks, sense amplifiers, fault tolerant, parallel-to-serial data paths for video applications, level shifters, converters, pumps, and logic, as well as wireless communication systems and MEMs applications; - managed operations including engineering, training, and quality assurance for device fabrication, assembly, test, analysis, and reliability assessment, as well as manufacturing control, each of which involved both volatile and non-volatile memory; testing, analysis, and control involving use of mechanical calibration and measuring equipment, including optical, scanning e-beam, IR, capacitive, and laser using phase contrast and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for High Aspect Ratio Inspection (HARI) applications; audio and video system design and installation; - taught courses in solid state device physics, integrated circuit design, integrated circuit fabrication, and statistical control; - provided expert services, investigating both process and design technologies of various devices (microprocessor and controller, memory, programmable logic, card, tag, module, mixed signal, custom, and other), systems (PC and peripheral, computer, control, laser measurement, switch, architecture, software, and other), and consumer products (medical, TV, telephone, VCR, facsimile, copier, lighting, game, and other); - provided nuclear radiation hardness testing services for military and space clients; and - managed the design and installation of audio sound and video systems for private and commercial enterprises.

2005 Exhibit: Ex 2005 RTL Design A Comprehensive Guide to Un

Document IPR2024-00476, No. 2005 Exhibit - Ex 2005 RTL Design A Comprehensive Guide to Un (P.T.A.B. May. 9, 2024)
In RTL design, operations are used to implementthe desired functionality of the system by processing the data stored in registers.
The designer specifies the sequenceof operations to be performed and the flow of data between registers to achieve the desired system behavior.
[3] Within RTL (Register Transfer Level) design, they each play distinct roles, shaping how systems operate andinteract.
sack HERE ait sno \o10des * he wee bel|e |) 5 Verification is crucial to ensure the design's correctness, robustness, andreliability.
These tools execute the RTL code and provide a waveform view of the signals in the design, allowing the designerto visually inspect the behavior of the system.

1012 Exhibit: 1012 ICPillar Opening Claim Construction Brief

Document IPR2024-00476, No. 1012 Exhibit - 1012 ICPillar Opening Claim Construction Brief (P.T.A.B. Jan. 26, 2024)
Arm asserts that the term “categorized” plainly refers to the organized collection of device characteristics or parameters maintained in and selected by a designer from a “hierarchal classification database.” Arm at 3, citing ’899 at 8:31-35 (“Utilizing the principles described herein in reference to the various embodiment [sic] of the invention, it is possible to define the blender with parameters included in a hierarchal database, and thus the principles of the invention apply to any device.”).
Claim 1 of the ’899 patent recites in part: “A computer implemented method… comprising: receiving a selection of categorized input and output characteristics of an electronic device into a memory of a processor programmed by software commands to design a hardware integrated circuit and associated operating software for controlling the integrated circuit to control the electronic device.” ’899 claim 1 at 18:38-46 (emphasis added).
First, claim 1 of the ’899 and ’657 patents recites “a processor” not “a single processor.” Moreover, a patentee is entitled to “use different terms to define the exact same subject matter.” Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Corp. v. Velan, Inc., 438 F.3d 1374, 1380 (Fed. Cir. 2006).
5 This passage and others demonstrate the breadth of “display type parameter” and would refute any attempt by Arm or its experts to limit “display” to one that is for viewing by a human end user customer of the electronic device.
The plain and ordinary meaning of “output type parameter” is clearly not “what the device is doing.” The cited portion of the specification refers to an “example” output of the blender embodiment that is shown on the display.
