Preferably, the data upon which an optimization 1s based is available locally to the low level system before a real time communication is received, so that external com- munications to resolve the target are minimized.
Of course, in certain tightly coupled environments, the target resolution may be performed on a physically separate processor or system from the low level call processing, without deviating from the essential aspects of embodiments of the invention.
