Order On November 30, 2022, Mildred Crowley pled guilty to a charge of wire fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1343.

The government alleged that Ms. Crowley devised and participated in a scheme to defraud her former employer by stealing from it more than $2.3 million of its funds for personal uses over a period of over ten years.

On July 12, 2023, I sentenced Ms. Crowley to 37 months’ imprisonment—a downward departure from the then-applicable Guidelines range of 41-51 months.

Additionally, I considered the health conditions Ms. Crawley raises in her compassionate release motion.

Given the extent of her fraud, I conclude that shaving off over half of her sentence at this point would not be consistent with the § 3553(a) factors.
