No. 49 TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS as to Thomas Lindstrom held on 12/11/2018, before the Honorable Harry ...

Document USA v. Lindstrom, 1:16-cr-00631, No. 49 (N.D.Ill. Dec. 20, 2018)
MS. GURLAND: So the first issue is that on -- over the weekend and also yesterday at 1:15 in the afternoon, we have a total of nine new victim letters.
But because of the filing of the addendum, this brings in Rule 32 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure which would dictate that the defense has to have this information in advance of the sentencing, at least a period of time in advance -- THE COURT: Are we talking about the victim statements starting with Matthew Colby?
MR. HARJANI: So, your Honor, given the absence of the lead counsel and the charades by Ms. Gurland, if the Court wishes, we'd be agreeable to a short extension.
MS. GURLAND: But, your Honor, could I just say just one -- make one point, which is that you can see this courtroom packed full of people who have come here on this day to support the -- to support the Lindstroms, I believe the vast majority of them, and that I want you to understand that Thomas Lindstrom is devastated that this has happened and that we're not proceeding and that he himself and his family mean absolutely no disrespect for the Court.
I, Judith A. Walsh, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a complete, true, and accurate transcript of the proceedings had in the above-entitled case before the Honorable HARRY D. LEINENWEBER, one of the judges of said court, at Chicago, Illinois, on December 11, 2018.
