Asadirect result ofDefendants’ negligence, on February 18, 2016, Mrs. Wilson was struck by the force of a heavy door thrust at her as a gust of wind prevailed, unimpeded by the windbarrier which Defendantsfailed to replaced.

Asa direct and proximate result of the acts or omissions of Defendantsas set forth above, Mrs. Wilson was forced to move from her homeofnearly twenty-five years to her son’s home because she can no longer drive or live independently.

The scope and severity of Defendants’ consciously indifferent actions with regard to the welfare and safety ofits older residents such as Mrs. Wilson constitutes gross negligence, willful, wanton, oppressive, reckless, malicious and/or intentional misconduct.

Asaresult of Defendants’ conduct as set forth above, Plaintiff is entitled to an award of compensatory, actual and punitive damages well in excess of the jurisdictional amount $100,000, to be determined by a jury, plus costs incurred as a result of filing this lawsuit.
