The mediation conference in this matter shall be held with Michael A. Genden on February 7, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.
However, the Scheduling Order entered in this case specifies that, pursuant to Local Rule 16.2, the parties shall “schedule a time, date, and place for mediation.” [ECF No. 135] (emphasis added).
The Court will nevertheless order the scheduled mediation, but the parties are instructed to file a notice specifying where the mediation will take place thirty (30) days before the scheduled mediation date.
The parties are reminded that requests to appear virtually by videoconference or other remote means must be made by motion.
DONE AND ORDERED in Miami, Florida, this 23rd day of September, 2024.

The Court having carefully considered the Motion, the record, and being otherwise fully advised, it is hereby
Defendant Plazas Vega shall have an additional twenty-one (21) days from the date of this Order to obtain counsel or provide notice that he intends to represent himself pro se, during which time any pending deadlines will be stayed.
Further, the Court will update the posting on the Volunteer Attorney Program website to reflect the current procedural posture of the case.
If the representation is accepted, the volunteer attorney shall enter an appearance in the case and thereafter will be eligible for reimbursement of reasonable litigation expenses pursuant to the Court’s Reimbursement Guidelines for Volunteer Counsel.
Plaintiff is cautioned that a referral to the Volunteer Attorney Program does not guarantee that he will obtain legal representation.
