`
`IN THE CLAIMS:
`
`This listing of claims replacesall prior versions, andlistings, of claims.
`
`1. (currently amended) A catheter heart pump comprising:
`
`an elongate catheter body having a proximal end, and a distal end configured to be
`
`advancedto a heart ventricle of a patient;
`
`an expandable sleeve coupled to the distal end, the expandable sleeve having a stored
`
`configuration in which the expandable sleeve is advanced to the heart, and an expanded
`
`configuration, and further comprising a distal inlet port and a proximaloutlet port;
`
`an expandable axial flow impeller configuredtete disposed within the expandable sleeve
`
`between the distal inlet port and the proximal outlet portavhen-+nthe-expandedcenfieuration,
`
`and the axial flow impeller configured to turn on a shaft to generate an axial fluid flow from the
`
`distal inlet port to the proximal outlet port without a single long, continuous, spiral blade; and
`
`a storage sleeve configured to house both the expandable sleeve and the expandable
`
`impeller therein.
`
`2. (currently amended) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the axial flow
`
`impeller and the expandable sleeve are configured to expand when urged out of the storage
`
`sleeve.
`
`3. (original) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the storage sleeve is configured
`
`to compress the expandable sleeve into the stored configuration for insertion into the patient and
`
`advancementto the heart.
`
`4. (original) The catheter heart pump of claim 2, wherein the expandable sleeve is
`
`configured for insertion into the storage sleeve.

`
`5. (original) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the storage sleeve is configured
`
`to translate proximally relative to the expandable sleeve such that the expandable sleeve exits the
`
`storage sleeve and expandsto the expanded configuration.
`
`6. (original) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the storage sleeve comprises a
`
`metaltube.
`
`7. (original) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the expandable sleeve defines a
`
`first diameter and the storage sleeve defines a second diameterthat is less than or equal to half
`
`the first diameter.
`
`8.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the expandable axial flow
`
`impeller includes at least two blade rows arranged in sequence along a length direction of the
`
`impeller.
`
`9.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 1, wherein the expandable sleeve
`
`includes a metal or polymer mesh.
`
`10. (newly added) A catheter heart pump comprising:
`
`an elongate catheter body having a proximal end, and a distal end configured to be
`
`advancedto a heart of a patient;
`
`an expandable sleeve coupled to the distal end, the expandable sleeve having a stored
`
`configuration in which the expandable sleeve is advanced to the heart, and an expanded
`
`configuration, and further comprising a distal inlet port and a proximaloutlet port;
`
`an expandable impeller configured to be disposed within the expandable sleeve between
`
`the distal
`
`inlet port and the proximal outlet port when in the expanded configuration, and
`
`configured to turn on a shaft to generate a fluid flow from the distal inlet port to the proximal
`
`outlet port; and

`
`a storage sleeve configured to house both the expandable sleeve and the expandable
`
`impeller therein;
`
`wherein the impeller and the expandable sleeve are configured to expand when urged out
`
`of the storage sleeve.
`
`11.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 10, wherein the expandable
`
`impeller is configured as an axial flow impeller without a single long, continuous, spiral blade.
`
`12.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 11, wherein the axial flow impeller
`
`includes multiple rows of flexible impeller blades.
`
`13.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 10, wherein the expandable sleeve
`
`includes a metal or polymer mesh.
`
`14. (newly added) A catheter heart pump comprising:
`
`an elongate catheter body having a proximal end, and a distal end configured to be
`
`advancedto a heart of a patient;
`
`an expandable sleeve coupled to the distal end, the expandable sleeve having a stored
`
`configuration in which the expandable sleeve is advanced to the heart, and an expanded
`
`configuration, and further comprising a distal inlet port and a proximaloutlet port;
`
`an expandable axial flow impeller configured to be disposed within the expandable sleeve
`
`between the distal inlet port and the proximal outlet port when in the expanded configuration, the
`
`expandable axial flow impeller including multiple rows of flexible impeller blades configured to
`
`turn on a shaft to generate a fluid flow from the distal inlet port to the proximal outlet port; and
`
`a storage sleeve configured to house both the expandable sleeve and the expandable
`
`impeller therein.

`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 14, wherein the axial flow impeller
`
`does not include a long continuous long, continuous, spiral blade that is relatively more difficult
`
`to fold than the multiple rows offlexible impeller blades.
`
`16.
`
`(newly added) The catheter heart pump of claim 14, wherein the impeller and the
`
`expandable sleeve are configured to expand whenurged out of the storage sleeve.
