`

`Attorney Docket: H-IP19110003US1 (266673)
`
`Please amend paragraph [0091] as follows:
`
`[0091] In this case, the injection ports 514 may simultaneously communicate with the
`
`secondfirst outer compression chamber[[C21]]C11 and the seeendfirst inner compression

`Attorney Docket: H-IP19110003US1 (266673)
`
`Please amend paragraph [0099] as follows:
`
`
`
`
`
`third-outercompression[0099] In this case, when the pressure in thechamber-C31andthe
`
`
`
`pressure+nthethirdchamberC32reachthird compression chamber C3compressioninner
`
`
`
`
`
`reaches a level of a discharge pressure, the main opening/closing part 610 opens the main
`
`discharge opening 512a.
`
`In this case, when the pressure in the second outer compression
`
`chamber C21 is higher than the second pressure range, the first sub-opening/closing part 630
`
`opensthe first sub-discharge opening 512b to decrease the pressure in the second outer
`
`compression chamber C21 to a level included in the second pressure range. When the pressure
`
`in the second inner compression chamber C22 higher than the secondpressure range, the second
`
`sub-opening/closing part 650 opensthe second sub-discharge opening 512c to decrease the
`
`pressure in the second inner compression chamber C22 to a level included in the second pressure
`
`range. As aresult, itis possible to prevent the pressure of the refrigerant discharged from the
`
`main discharge opening 512a from becoming excessively higher than the discharge pressure.
`
`That is, the excessive compression may be prevented.
`
`Please amend paragraph [00109] as follows:
`
`[00109] The first and second leg portions 724a and 724b are formedin parallel with each other.
`
`A connected portion 727betweenthefirst leg portion 724a and the connection portion 726 and a
`
`connected portion 727between the second leg portion 724b and the connection portion 726 may
`
`be formed at the opposite sides to implement the compact structure. Thatis, the first leg portion
`
`724a and the second leg portion 724b are respectively connected to two opposite ends of the
`
`connection portion 726.

`
`be described with reference to FIG. 16, a cover plate 1710 has two inflow ports 1712, and an
`
`injection valve 1720 has two head portions 1722 and twoleg portions 1724. However, unlike
`
`the above-mentioned description, the first inflow port 1712a and the second inflow port 1712b
`
`are formedside by side at one side of the cover plate 1710. Therefore, the first head portion
`
`1722a andthefirst leg portion 1724a for opening or closing the first inflow port 1712a and the
`
`second head portion 1722b and the second leg portion 1724b for opening or closing the second
`
`inflow port 1712b may be formedside by side in the same direction without being formed in a
`
`staggered manner.
`
`In the present embodiment, a connection portion 1726 configured to connect
`
`the first leg portion 1724a and the secondleg portion 1724b hasa straight shape. However, the
`
`present disclosure is not limited thereto. That is, a connected portion 1727betweenthe first leg
`
`portion 1724a and the connection portion 1726 and a connected portion 1727between the second
`
`leg portion 1724b and the connection portion 1726 are formedat the sameside.

`
`REJECTIONS UNDER35 U.S.C. § 112
`
`The Examinerrejected the claims as follows:
`
`&.
`
`Claim34 and 36 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. LP2tb) or 35 LOS.C. 112 Gore-APA), second
`
`peragraph, as being undetinite for fuling to partcularhy point ant and distinctly churn the subject
`
`matter which the dpvertor or a jolt inventor, or for pre- ALAthe applicand regards as the
`
`ioveriien.
`
`Regarding claim 34:
`
`The lintitation “a connected partion” in fine t and 2 is unclear. It’s meaclear what this
`
`structure is and howifdifferentiates fram the connection porion. Phe spectficahion tdenufies the
`
`cormection portion as 726 which is hetweer the first leg portion F24a and (he second leg portion
`
`724b but tl falls to ideniify what the connected portion is in the figures. For the sake of
`
`examination, the office has assumed that the connected porlienis structure belbween the
`
`connector portiod 726 aud the first or secoad leg poruion 7ida/?24h
`
`Regarding claim 36:
`
`The linittation “a connected partion” in ine t and 2 is unclear. The Himitation is unclear
`
`for the same reasons identified im the claim 34 rejection above.
`
`The reference numerals of Figs. 9 and 16 and paragraphs [00109] and [00164] of the
`
`specification are amended. Specifically, reference numerals 727 and 1727 are added to
`
`paragraphs [00109] and [00164], as well as Figs. 9 and 16 to designate the recited “connected
`
`portion”. Thus, the rejections are moot and withdrawal ofthe rejections is respectfully requested.

`
`to Inchide all of the hmations of the base claim andany intervening claims.
`
`The Applicants thank the Examinerfor the indication of allowable subject martter, but
`
`traverse the rejections in view of the amendments to Claim 21.
`
`Claim 1 is amended to include the limitations of dependent Claim 22, as well asrecite ‘a
`
`valve plate lower surface facing the fixed scroll is spaced apart from the fixed scroll, and the
`
`valve plate further includes a protruding portion protruding from the valve plate lower surface
`
`toward the fixed scroll and through which the outflow port is formed’.
`
`According to amended Claim 21, since the valve plate (730) is spaced apart from the
`
`fixed scroll (500), the valve plate (730) further includes the protruding portion (732) protruding
`
`from the valve plate lower surface (730b) toward the fixed scroll (500) and through which the
`
`outflow port (736) is formed. Therefore, the discharge valve (600)is interposed between the
`
`fixed scroll (500) and the valve plate lower surface (730b) andthe refrigerant discharged from
`
`the discharge opening (512) flowsinto the discharge chamber (D). See Figs. 3 and 14 of the

`
`However, in D1 (U.S. Pat. Appl. Pub. No. 2015/0192127) the intermediate pressure
`
`housing (valve plate, 13) is in contact with the fixed scroll (20) and therefore does not include

`
`D2 (US. Pat. Appl. Pub. No. 2005/0249608) does not resolve these deficiencies.
`
`Thus, the cited references, alone or in combination, do not disclose, teach, or suggest the
`
`limitations of Claim 21. Therefore, Claim 21 is allowable. It follows that Claims 23-29, 31-32,
`

`
`Allowable Claim 30 is amendedto includethe limitations of base Claim 21 and

`
`Allowable Claim 33 is amendedto include the limitations of base Claim 21 and

`
`It is submitted that all claims are now allowable. Accordingly, allowance of the patent
