`been withdrawn as being directed io non-elected subject matter. Applicant reserves the right to

`pursue the subject matter of the cancelled claims in this or any other appropriate patent application.

`Upon entry of the proposed amendments, claims 59-68 will be under exarnination.

`Restriction Requirement

`In the Restriction Requirernent mailed July 19, 2023, the Office issued a restriction
`
`requirement pursuant to 35 U.S.C. § 121 alleging that the application contains claims directed to
`
`the following patentably distinct inventions:

`Claims 49-58, drawn to composition, classified in AGIK47/02
`
`Group IL:
`
`Claims 59-68, drawn to a method of treat the pre-myopia, myopia or
`
`progression of myopia, classified in AGIK9/8
`
`Applicant elects Group 0 without traverse. Claims 59-68 encompass the elected group.

`Applicant notes that the coversheet of the Restriction Requirement mailed July 19, 2023, indicates
`
`claims 49-68 are rejected and not subject to restriction. Applicant respectfully requests clarification
`
`that this designation of the claims was inadvertent.
`
`Applicant reserves the right pursuant to 35 U.S.C. § 121 to file one or more divisional
`
`applications directed to the non-elected inventions during the pendencyof the present application,
`
`or request rejoinder of withdrawn claims when an allowable claims set is reached.
