`
`Application No. 15/121,623
`
`- 21 -
`
`GEUIJEN et a].
`
`Claim 18 was rejected as allegedly indefinite because inclusion of the limitations "the ErbB-
`
`3 positive cell" and "the ErbB-2 positive cell" are allegedly unclear. Not in acquiescence to the
`
`propriety of the rejection, but rather solely to advance prosecution, Applicant has amended the
`
`claim to clarify the nature of what is being claimed.
`
`Claims 19 and 20 were rejected as allegedly indefinite because it is allegedly unclear to
`
`which amino acid residues the claimed antibody binds relative to the ErbB-3 polypeptide. Not in
`
`acquiescence to the propriety of the rejection, but rather solely to advance prosecution, Applicant
`
`has amended the claims to clarify the nature of what is being claimed as suggested by the Examiner.
`
`Claims 21 and 22 were rejected as allegedly indefinite because the terms "MF3958" and
`
`"MF3178" are allegedly unclear. Not in acquiescence to the propriety of the rejection, but rather
`
`solely to advance prosecution, Applicant has amended the claims to provide sequence identifiers for
`
`the claimed terms as suggested by the Examiner.
`
`In view of the amendments and arguments recited above, Applicant respectfully asserts that
`
`the metes and bounds of the claims are clear. Accordingly, Applicant requests that the individual
`
`rejections be reconsidered and withdrawn.
`
`B.
`
`Rejections under 35 US. C. § 112(a) — written description
`
`Claims 1-4, 6-13, 18-22, 28, 30-33, 35, and 58-71 have been rejected under 35 U.S.C. §
`
`112(a) as allegedly failing to comply with the written description requirement. The Office alleges
`
`that the claims contain subject matter which was not described in the specification in such a way as
`
`to reasonably convey to one skilled in the relevant art that the inventors, at the time the application
`
`was filed, had possession of the claimed invention. Applicant respectfully traverses the rejection.
