`
`The Examiner has required 5 different species elections.
`
`For species election 1, the Examiner has required an election of a species of sample as in

`(i) as to whether the sample is suitable for storage in a pipette tip or not; and
`
`(ii) as to whether the sample is biological in nature.
`
`Regarding (i), Applicants elect that the sample i_s suitable for storage in a pipette tip.
`
`Regarding (ii), Applicants elect that the sample i_s biological in nature. Claims 34, 35, 37, 95,
`
`99-104, 107, and 108 encompass the elected species.
`
`For species election 2, the Examiner has required an election of species of analyte detection as
`
`in claim 92.
`
`With this response, Applicants have canceled claim 92 and dependent claims thereof (claims

`
`95, 99-104, 107, and 108 are generic.
