`
`under 35 U.S.C. § 1 03(a) based on the amendments and remarks presented herein, and to allow all of
`
`the pending claims 1-2, 4-10, 12-13, and 15-20 as now presented for examination. An early

`Claims 1-20 were pending. Claims 1, 2, 10, 12, and 13 have been rejected by the
`
`Examiner. Claims 3-9, 11, and 14-20 were objected to as being dependent on a rejected base
`
`claim. Claims 1-2,8-10,12-13, 19and 20 have been amended. Claims 3,11 and 14 have been
`
`cancelled without prejudice or disclaimer. Accordingly, claims 1-2,4-10, 12-13, and 15-20 are

`Motorola (RI-081056) in view of Docomo et aL (RI-070870). Claims 2 and 13 stand rejected
`
`under 35 U.S.C. §103(a) as being unpatentable over Motorola in view of Docomo, and further in
`
`view ofIPWireless (RI-06063 7). The Applicants traverse these rejections for the following
`
`reasons. The Examiner indicated that claims 3-9, 11, and 14-20 are objected to as being
`
`dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form
`
`including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Accordingly, the
`
`limitations of allowable claim 3 have been written into independent claim 1. Similarly, the
`
`limitations of allowable claim 11 have been written into independent claim 10. Likewise, the
`
`limitations of allowable claim 14 have been written into independent claim 12. Based upon the
