`Good cause exists for this initial extension request. Applicant’s counsel has a pending

`federal civil matter for patent infringement in the district court of the Northern District of Illinois.
`
`Discovery issues have arisen and the deadline for discovery approaches. The recent discovery
`
`issues impacting counsel’s current workload. The undersigned is the attorney most familiar with
`
`the facts and legal issues presented on appeal. Additional time is respectfully requested for the
`
`undersigned to prepare the appeal brief in this case.
