`hereby requests that the Board grant an additional thirty (30) day extension of time to
`
`file a Notice of Opposition to registration of the APPLE AWARDS trademark by
`

`applicant in the above-referenced case. The opposition period is presently set to expire
`
`December 24, 2001, and the requested extension of time would re-set the opposition
`
`deadline to January 23, 2002, for Apple Computer, Inc.

`This request is not made to unduly delay proceedings in the Patent and
`
`Trademark Office. Applicant has agreed to amend its application, which amendment, if
`
`accepted, would avoid further opposition proceedings. The foregoing extension is
`
`sought to allow Applicant to submit, and the Board and opportunity to consider, a
`
`request to amend Applicant’s application. We believe that this constitutes good cause
`
`for the request.
