`RE: Transbay Transit Center Walkable Glass Floor
`EI60 to EI120 Drainage Test Detail0001.pdf
`
`Victor,
`
`As every installation is different when it comes to the seal between our floor and the surrounding structure, a building
`enveloped consultant would need to be in the loop as well as the installation contractor. There is some shared
`responsibility here. The installer who will be doing the silicone seal has to provide this warranty. As per our discussion
`we will work with the envelop consultant at the design phase modify our system details. Please see attached sketch on
`the discussions we have been having with our fire-consultants.
`
`Regarding structural, we would provide the glass structural calculation along with our steel support calculations, excluding
`the cable truss system which would be by others.
`
` conference call on these points would be welcome. I would like to include our engineering firm Lochsa Engineering
`and Mike Rae who is the LITEFLAM system designer. Mike is in the UK so the conference call would have to be in the
`AM.
`
`Ryan.

`Ryan,
`
`Can you please advise us on how Greenlight Glass handles waterproofing and warranty issues for a walkable glass floor?
`
`In addition, will Greenlight Glass also provide structural certification of the glass floor?
`
` I
`
` will try to call you tomorrow to discuss these issues further.
`
`
`Thanks,
`
`Victor

`Hello Victor,
`
`Nice to talk with you today, I have been waiting to hear from Pelli on this. As mentioned we have I had a meeting with
`PWP in San Fran back in May and we supplied them with the LITEFLOOR EXT top surface glass options. LITEFLOOR
`is the top walk-able glass portion of the LITEFLAM fire-rated system. Details for our LITEFLAM IGU Skylight System are

`best described on the Shop Drawings for our most recent project at NYU. This again is an exterior plaza in which natural
`light was to flood into the classrooms and corridors below. In this case they had a 60min fire separation up hold.
`
`If you could let me know the fire-rating requirement for LITEFLAM. We currently have tested 60min and 90min systems
`to ASTM-E119-00. We are in the process of doing our 2hr test next.
`
`In the mean time I will send you the same set of samples that PWP has.
`
`Kind regards,
`
