`
`This is one of four proto-brassieres found in Lengberg Castle, Austria, during a 2008
`archaeological excavation. The separate cups, shoulder straps, and lace embellishment on
`this example bear resemblance to a modern bra. Two of the four garments discovered were
`radiocarbon dated, determining that they were produced between the end of the 14th century
`and the second half of the 15th century.
