`
`WALLET BRA
`
`The present invention relates to a wallet bra that
`allows its user to hide valuable objects such as, for
`example, bank notes, credit cards, or jewelry.
`In recent years, the increase in delinquency has made
`the transport of valuables in handbags unsafe; these are
`very often snatched from the hands of women or cut to
`collect the contents, certain elements of which can easily
`be offloaded.
`To ensure the transport of valuables, there are belts
`with at least one compartment in which you can place, for
`example, bank notes, credit cards, or possibly identity
`papers. But these belts are generally intended for men.
`Women, for their part, often hide valuable objects in
`their underwear and particularly in their bra.
`Thus, in document US-A-2,492,862, a bra is
`described comprising a strip placed under the cups in
`which a pocket is provided closed along a median line by
`a zipper. Such an achievement can only be adopted on this
`bra model.
`Another method for making a pocket in a bra is
`described in document US-A-2 593 711: this pocket is
`arranged longitudinally between the two cups. This can
`only be achieved if there is a sufficient thickness of fabric
`at this location. In addition, such a pocket is unattractive
`and does not allow the woman to wear relatively low-cut
`clothes.
`Document US-A-2 920 628 relates to a bra
`comprising a pocket placed against the external wall of
`one of the cups. This concept is not very aesthetic because
`it inevitably leads to the asymmetry of the cups and can
`even cause unsightly blisters.
`These documents therefore all concern specific
`models of bra.
`Also, one of the aims of the present invention is to
`provide a bra comprising a device for concealing
`valuables while not harming the aesthetics thereof.
`Another aim of the invention is to provide such a bra
`at a lower cost and easy to produce.
`
`These goals as well as others that will appear later,
`are achieved by a bra that notably comprises of two cups
`connected together, two side strips each extending a cup
`and provided at their ends with means allowing them to be
`hooked together, and that, according to the present
`invention, comprises a device for hiding valuable objects
`consisting of at least one pocket placed on one of the side
`strips.
`
`Preferably, this pocket is placed on the part of the
`side strip located substantially under the corresponding
`arm of the user.
`Advantageously, this pocket is provided with a
`means for closing it.
`According to a first version of the invention, this
`pocket is constituted of the side strip and of a piece of
`fabric attached by any suitable means.
`According to a second version, this pocket is
`constituted of a piece of fabric attached by any suitable
`means to the side strip and folded over itself.
`According to a third version of the invention, the
`side strip is folded on itself so as to manufacture this
`pocket.
`The description that follows, which is not limiting
`in any way, must be read with reference to the single
`attached figure representing a bra comprising a device
`according to the present invention.
`A bra comprised of two cups, 1 and 2, connected
`together by a piece of fabric 3 of a varied shape, and two
`side strips 4 that extend each cup laterally and that are
`provided at their ends with means allowing them to be
`hooked. It may also have straps.
`According to the invention, this bra includes a
`device for hiding valuable objects such as, for example,
`bank notes, credit cards, or jewelry. This device is
`constituted of at least one pocket 5 that is arranged on a
`side strip 4. Optionally, each side strip 4 may include a
`pocket 5.
`This pocket 5 is advantageously arranged on the
`part of the side strip 4 that is located substantially under
`the corresponding arm of the user. Such an arrangement
`does not create any discomfort and in no way harms the
`aesthetics of the bra, unlike those described above.

`
`4
`
`This pocket 5 can be constituted, according to a first
`version of the invention, of the side strip 4 and of a piece
`of fabric of which at least three edges are combined with
`the side strip by any suitable means, in particular by
`sewing.
`We can also consider manufacturing this pocket
`from a piece of fabric that is attached by any suitable
`means to the side strip 4 and that is folded back on itself.
`According to another version, the side strip 4 is
`folded on itself, over a certain length, in order to
`manufacture this pocket 5.
`This piece of fabric can be made of the same
`material as that of the side strip or a different material.
`Pocket 5 can be opened either laterally or on its
`upper part. As for its closure, it can be done either by the
`natural tension created by the attachment of the side strips,
`or by any other means, such as a zipper or adhesive strips,
`for example.
`The shape of this pocket is preferably rectangular,
`but can be adapted to the shape of the side strip.
