`Apple Inc. (“Petitioner”) filed a petition for Inter Partes Review of claims 1-
`
`24 of U.S. Patent No. 8,510,407 on May 23, 2023 (Paper No. 1). At the time of
`
`filing, Petitioner submitted a fee of $46,000.00, consisting of a $19,000.00 inter
`
`partes review request fee, a $1,500.00 excess claim request fee for the four (4)
`
`claims in excess of twenty (20) claims, a $22,500.00 inter partes review post-
`
`institution fee, and a $3,000.00 excess claim post-institution fee for the four (4)
`
`claims in excess of twenty (20) claims, in accordance with 37 C.F.R. § 42.15(a).
`
`On January 3, 2024, the Board denied institution of the inter partes review (Paper
`
`No. 12). In view of the Board’s decision, Petitioner respectfully requests a refund
`
`of the inter partes review post-institution fee of $25,500.00 that was submitted
`
`with its initial petition pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.15(b). Petitioner requests that
`
`the refund be deposited in Deposit Account No. 50-6159.
