`

`Case IPR2022-01544 on Patent No. 7,289,961 B2
`Petitioner’s Request for Oral Argument
`
`Petitioner Verance Corporation hereby timely requests an oral hearing set
`
`forth by the Board on January 25, 2024 (Due Date 8) pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70
`
`and the Board’s Scheduling Order dated April 21, 2023 (Paper 13).
`
`At the oral hearing, Petitioner intends to discuss the issues raised or discussed
`
`in the parties’ filings and the Board’s Institution Decision in the ongoing IPR
`
`proceeding, and any issues raised by Patent Owner or the Board at the hearing.
`
`Petitioner asks the Board to decide the length of time needed for requested
`
`oral argument for each party.
`
`In light of the USPTO re-opening, Petitioner would like to submit their
`
`preference to proceed with the oral argument virtually by video conference. To the
`
`extent the oral argument will be conducted in-person at the offices of the United
`
`States Patent and Trademark Office, Petitioner respectfully requests that the Board
`
`provide audio/visual equipment for displaying demonstrative exhibits and evidence
`
`of record during oral argument, including a projector and screen for displaying
`
`documents. To the extent the oral argument will be conducted by video conference,
`
`Petitioner respectfully requests that the Board provide a video conferencing
`
`platform that will allow demonstrative exhibits and evidence to be viewed by all
`
`participants of the video conference.
