`How Biometric Locks Work
`Whenthe“Verified Access”feature is turned on, the Yale Access app will use your phone’s built-in biometric scanners to promptfacialor
`fingerprint recognition before you can unlockorlock your home(note:if your phone doesnot havethesefeatures,it will prompt you to use your
`PIN code). This further ensures that your smart lockis only operated bythe right people at the time you intendforit.

`The biometric smart lock security feature appliesto facial or fingerprint lock verification done remotely via Wi-Fi, mobile data, or local Bluetooth
`access. You'll be able to optinto this security feature separately, and it will not be enacted when checking yourlock status in order to preserve a
`seamless app experience.

`Alongside this new biometric smart lockverification app feature, Yale Home has a “Hide Entry Codes”feature thatwill give you the option to hide
`keypad entry codes within the app. Once enabled,youwill only be able to view codesafter passing phone authentication using your phone's
`biometric scanners. This feature is another step to provide you with further peace of mind around your Yale Assure smart locks with Wi-Fi and
`Bluetooth.

`The Yale Accessappfeatures are available on iOS and Android,joining our other existing privacy features including two-factor authentication, two-
`layer encryption, and lost-phone disablement.
