`It works, but with otheritems out there that don't need to cost nearly as
`much,that can do the samething, and more, this just seemsa bit
`overpriced. | have severaldifferent locks, at several of my properties,
`and wholethis is decent, | can't fully recommendthis to anyone unless
`price isn't a factor, and you don't need an easyintegration with smart
`homedevices,then buyit. But even the way they haveit marketed on
`the box, it says compatible smart lock with Google and Alexa. Then
`whenyouopenit, it says additional components required. Seemslike a
`bait and switch. After pointing out this to the company| wasgiven a
`20% discountonthis upgrade Kit...

`your phone"whichdoesn't actually do anything smart out of the box
`unless you purchase a separate $100+ "Smart Module".

`misleading consumersand taking advantage of people to make extra
`money.

`Thereis literally no reason whyYale can't just include this in theoriginal

`It's absurd that you buy a "Yale Smart Lock" from "Yale" and it doesn't
`workwith the "Yale Access" appout of the box.

`| don't understand whythis piece wasnot sold in Best Buy where|
`acquired theoriginal lock. They sold me a smart lock that was not
`smart until | got this piece which they don't sell. Geek Squad has not
`beenableto install it as part of the service, so | don't have a smart lock
`at the momentto use for business (short term rental). My suggestionis
`to give your sellers the complete package,or integrate from the
`beginning. This has been a wasteof time experience.

`Uses 4 AA alkaline batteries. There is no battery life indicator or
`warning. Sucksup batteries really fast and whenthebatteriesdieit fails
`as is. Ended up buying rechargeable batteries to try to minimizeall the
`waste. The auto-unlock feature sometimesfails to work. So keep the
`key with you!

`Boughtthis to go along with my Yale keypadlock. It was easyto install
`the Lock but the easeof activation wasa bit confusing. Installed and
`set up but no WiFi instructions. Finally looked up youtubevideo of WiFi
`installation/activation and wasthenable to useit at almost 100%

`Installation was easy, but getting it connected to the app wasa bit of a
`pain. Tech services wasvery good onthe phoneand wegotit going.
`Mucheasier to add entry codeswith the app than doing it manually.
`Nice to be able to see who wasgoingin and out. Wewerein Italy and |
`could see whenthe dog walker wentin & out and canceltheir entry
`code after we got home. Should have boughtthis when | bought &
`installed the lock.

`Makes Yale locks work well.
`
`This makesthe Yale lock system much morefeature-packed. Wither
`chip it came with was z-wavebased.It worked fine, but the added
`open/close sensorand streamlined interface by August addsa nice
`polish to the system. Cons:it's a bit expensive and the WiFi bridge
`struggles to consistently reach the doorlock and even thoughtit is
`pluggedin four feet away. 95%of the time this is not a problem, but on
`occasionit doesn't respond as expected.

`for both so | don’t see whyit wouldn’t workfor yours. You may havea long wait, but Yale reps are great on walking you
