`Thisis is overall a great product, howeverthe integration to your WiFi
`Yale module and homerouter works only out of the box when the
`productis brand new!It is very difficult to get a brand new device from
`Amazon.| tried to replaceit a couple of times, but I’m getting a
`refurbished unit each time. What you haveto do to makeit workis to
`call Yale support and they have to makesurethe Yale dongleis set to
`your account( be prepared to show a purchasejustification, take a
`picture of the serial#,etc. ) This will take you a good 45-60 min
`including waiting time to speak to the Yale operator. After that you are
`goodto go.

`Look right at home with my newdoor!

`Installed a new front door at our new houseand waslooking for a smart
`lock that will look great withit. This aged bronze Yale locklook right at
`homewith the black door handle that we boughtfor the door. Getting
`thelock installed wasa little challenging especially all the modules
`andpairing it up with your phone.Also, the deadbolt came damaged
`but Amazon was quick in sending a replacementout.It also takes some
`time to get the deadboltto latch onto theplate as it won’t lockitself
`when| first getit installed. After getting all the kinks to workout, the
`doorlock workas expected, and now | don’t have to hand mykey out to
`let peoplein.

`Pros. *The lockis supereasy toinstall to the door.It fits perfectly with
`the hole the previous deadbolt lock left behind. *You can set up the key
`pad with access codesorusethekeyto lock and unlock. Setting up the
`keypad codesis super easy as well. Cons. *The appis poorly designed.
`Doesnot always work. Good thing you don't need the app unless you
`wantto lock and unlock remotely. You can just enter the access code
`using the keypad or use a key. *It does not have the powerport like
`otherlocks have to powerit up using a power bankor a 9V battery.If
`the lock is out of battery while you are out and you don't have the key
`with you, too bad. You can't getin.

`Easylock installation, but confusing Augustsetup. Still works well!
`
`This product has twoparts - lock from Yale and module/hub from
`August. Switching out the Yale lock was easy and simple,by just
`following the video instructions. The August module and hub setupis
`slightly confusing but can be achieved by following the August app
`instructions closely. For me most confusing was the module
`registration. If you don't do that, it won't work(lot of people might have
`faced this). Another fopaux to avoid, is to ensure the deadbolt and
`strike plate are aligned and workwell as they can causeissuesin
`functioning later. Once setup is complete,it workslike a charm and
`Augustintegration with Amazon Alexa or Google Homeisrelatively
`easy.

`This lock is pretty amazing overall. Easy to install and comeswith step
`by step manual on how to add and removekeycodes.| usethis for an
`investmentrental property. No more making new keys when bad
`tenants moveout. You just have to removetheir key codeaccess.| use
`this with the Ring doorbell to give me that extra piece of mind.
`Howeverthere is one issue that | haven't had timeto resolve andthat's
`the option to master control from my phone.It doesn't seem to work.|
`tried following the steps and youtubeas well but mine won't connectto
`allow remote access from phone.

`keys while walking my dogs.It was supereasytoinstall, looks super
`pretty on the outside andinside the door, and doeseverythingit saysit
`should. Now the bridge works “okay”, every oncein a while | get a

`Great lock, not so great August software. But has potential and would buy
`again
`
`The softwarepart of the lockis not perfect at all and is buggy. But this
`isn’t Yale’s fault. All their features workflawlessly andis a very solid
`lock. August needs to do somesoftware work to makethis whole
`package 100% awesome.They have great concepts and whenthey
`work, they are awesome.Looking forward to future software updates.
`Would| buy this again. Yes | would. But just expect some bugs here and
`there with the smart houseinterface. | use Alexa to control all my
`house holdstuff. | can’t vouchfor any otherinterfaces. | do know | have
`had it for a few days and have had to removebatteries to reset the
`wireless interface twice now.

`Great Lock!!! East to physically install but a little more difficult to setup the
`smart features!

`This lock worksgreat. It unlocks/locks automatically, works remotely
`with AmazonAlexa andtells me whetherthe dooris open or closed
`(via door sense). Thelockitself is solid feeling (metal and plastic but
`not cheapfeeling). It was simpleto install the lock physically, butit was
`a bit moredifficult pairing it with Alexa and my phone.Not hard enough
`to turn you away though. Theonly issueis thatif you have more than
`one Yale Assure locks in your house, you can only have one doorauto
`unlock when you come home.Otherthan that, | would definitely
`recommendthis lock to anyone.

`No. You can changethe codeonthelockitself via the Keypad. You enter the master code and enter setup mode and you
`can set codes.
`
`Caution though... If you used home automation systemslike SmartThings and you enter the codeson the key pad,theywill
`get overridden by the smarthomesystem.
`
`To lock and unlock the lock you can use yourkeyorany of your codesyou entered via the key pad,the Yale app or a
`smarthomesystem.
`
`If there is no Wifi, you can only usethe keypad. It does store your codes meaningif you lose WiFi any codes you entered
`will remain active.
`
`The only thing you can NOTdo,is enter or change code whichare time bound meaning you cannotusethe key pad to do
`thingslike code A only works from 9am to 5pm. Those things have to be entered via the app or a smarthome system.
