`PETITIONERS’ UPDATED MANDATORY NOTICES
`
`
`
`
`

`

`Case IPR2022-01006
`Patent No. 9,665,705
`Petitioners provide the following updated mandatory notices pursuant to 37
`
`C.F.R. § 42.8 and the Board’s April 8, 2024 email authorization to notify the Board
`
`about a change in the petitioner and real party-in-interest information.
`
`On February 1, 2024, Petitioner August Home, Inc. merged with Master
`
`Lock Company, LLC. As a result of this merger, Petitioner August Home, Inc. no
`
`longer exists and should be removed from this proceeding as a petitioner and a real
`
`party-in-interest.
`
`Master Lock Company, LLC also acquired assets from Petitioner ASSA
`
`ABLOY Residential Group, Inc., such that ASSA ABLOY Residential Group,
`
`Inc., is no longer the most relevant business in this matter.
`
`Master Lock Company, LLC and co-petitioners ASSA ABLOY AB, ASSA
`
`ABLOY Inc., HID Global Corporation, and ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, Inc.
`
`recently agreed in principle to a joint funding for the legal fees associated with this
`
`proceeding. Based on the above, Master Lock Company, LLC respectfully asks:
`
`(i) to be substituted as a petitioner and real party-in-interest in the place of August
`
`Home, Inc.; and (ii) to be substituted as a petitioner in the place of ASSA ABLOY
`
`Residential Group, Inc., with ASSA ABLOY Residential Group, Inc., remaining a
`
`real party-in-interest.
`
`Finally, out of an abundance of caution, Petitioners ASSA ABLOY AB,
`
`ASSA ABLOY Inc., HID Global Corporation, ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions,

`

`Case IPR2022-01006
`Patent No. 9,665,705
`Inc., and forthcoming Petitioner Master Lock Company, LLC respectfully request
`
`Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc., the parent company of Master Lock Company,
`
`LLC, who intends to be involved in this proceeding, be added as a real party-in-
`
`interest to this proceeding.
`
`
`
`Dated: April 9, 2024
`

`
`
`
`
`Respectfully submitted,
