`REMARKS/ARGUMENTS
`
`Regarding the present Amendment, entry of this Amendmentis respectfully requested
`
`since the Amendmentdoes not add new matter and does not require a new search.
`
`With regard to the amendmentsto claims 1 and 15, during the final review of the allowed
`
`claim languageprior to paying the issue fee, Applicant’s Representative noticed inconsistencies
`
`between the language of claims 1, 11 and 15. The amendmentsto claims 1 and 15 are needed to
`
`makethe claim language of claims 1 and 15 more consistent with the language of claim 11.
`
`Since claim 11 recites “receiving an access message from the third-party trusted authority
`
`indicating that the third-party trusted authority successfully authenticated the ID code sent to the
`
`third-party trusted authority based on the comparison of the ID code and allowing the userto-
`
`complete a financial transaction” and claim 11 is allowed, neither the amendmentof claim 1 to
`
`recite “responsive to receiving an access message from the third-party trusted authority-
`
`indicating that the third-party trusted authority successfully authenticated the ID code, allowing
`
`the user to complete a financial transaction” nor the amendmentof claim 15 to recite “the third-
`
`party trusted authority storing a list of legitimate codes and determining the authentication of the
`
`ID code received based on a comparison of the ID code received and the legitimate codes
`
`included in thelist of the legitimate codes” require a new search and claims | and 15 as amended
`
`herein are allowable.
`
`With regard to the amendmentsto claims 7, 9, 19 and 20, the amendmentsare intended to
`
`enhancereadability as the language “the complete a financial transaction” is awkward and to
`
`address an antecedent basis issue since the independentclaims recite “a financial transaction.”
`
`The amendment was not presented previously because the portions of claims 7, 9, 19 and 20

`

`amended includes language that was entered by the Examiner’s Amendmentthat accompanied
`
`the Notice of Allowability.
`
`With regard to the Examiner’s statement for reasons of allowance, the Examiner’s
`
`statement is based on claim elements of independent claim 1.
`
`It should be noted that the claim
`
`language of independent claims 11 and 15 may differ from that of claim 1, and that claims 11
`
`and 15 are patentable for the elements they recite, which may differ from claim 1.
