`Sirius Upgrade
`The Sirius calendar service has been upgraded to allow users to acquire
`guaranteed resources across PlanetLab. During a reserved time slot, a slice is
`granted 25% of each processor's CPU capacity, and 2Mbps of link bandwidth. Login
`to the PLC website to reserve resources for your slice.

`VINI Deployment Announced
`A paper describing VINI , a spinoff from PlanetLab that will support controlled layer-2
`experiments, was presented at SIGCOMM. Follow the deployment of VINI from the
`VINI web site.

`3.3 Rollout Complete
`Version 3.3 of the PlanetLab software has been deployed on all production nodes.
`The release includes a new bandwidth usage policy that limits each slice to 5GB per
`day on each node, but exempts traffic between sites connected to lnternet2. More
`information can be found here.

`Sirius Calendar
`An interface to the Sirius Calendar service is now available on the User Homepage.
`Sirius allows users to schedule their slice for a boost in CPU and network
`bandwidth.
