`TROUBLESHOOTING & FAQ
`
`What is Bluetooth Stereo/A2DP?
`
`Bluetooth Stereo enables a wireless connection of stereo audio
`between two Bluetooth Stereo devices. In order to provide a
`wireless Bluetooth Stereo connection between two devices, both
`devices must support the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution
`Profile) Bluetooth profile.
`
`What is AVRCP?
`
`Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) enables you to
`remote control your music player from the Jabra SPORT with
`functions such as Play, Pause & Skip Track (can be phone
`dependenfi.
`
`How can I use the Multiuse”I feature on my Jabra SPORT?
`
`Multiuse functionality enables you to be connected to two
`different devices at the same time (e.g. a mobile phone and a PC).
`This means that for example, you can use the same headset for
`both listening to music from your mobile phone and use it for
`Internet telephony (e.g. Skype or Google Talk) at the same time.
`
`I hear crackling noises
`
`Bluetooth is a radio technology which means it is sensitive to
`objects between the headset and the device it is connected to.
`You should be able to have up to 10 meters (33 feet) ofdistance
`between the headset and the connected device when there are
`
`no major objects in the way (walls, etc.).
`
`I cannot hear the phone call in the headset
`Increase the volume on the Jabra SPORT.
`
`Make sure your phone is connected to the headset by Le. tapping
`the Answer/End button (A), or viewing the LED indicator.
`
`I have pairing problems
`
`You may have deleted the pairing connection in your mobile
`phone — follow the pairing instructions in ‘PairYour Headset to a
`Phone or other Device ’ section.
`
`13
`
`12
`
`13
`
`

`

`I cannot use Reject call, Call on hold or Redial
`
`These features are dependent on your phone supporting them;
`please consult your phone’s manual for details.
`
`I cannot hear music in the headset
`
`Ensure that the headset is connected to your Bluetooth enabled
`device.
`
`You may have been out—of—range (10 meters) to your Bluetooth
`enabled device or the headset might have experienced an ESD
`(Electrostatic discharge) incidence. Press the Answer/End Button
`(A) to re-establish the Bluetooth audio link — Increase the volume
`on your device.
`
`Make sure that the Jabra SPORT is charged.
`
`The music I hear sounds very poor
`
`Make sure the other device supports Bluetooth 1.1 or higher
`including the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for
`music streaming.
`
`lfthe above procedure did not help then it is possible that your
`phone is using the stereo audio connection in a different way. You
`can enable this mode on Jabra SPORT by performing pairing in
`the following way:
`
`—
`
`Remove the Bluetooth connection to Jabra SPORT on your
`phone
`
`— Make sure the headset is turned off
`
`-
`
`-
`
`Press and hold the Answer/End button (A) for more than

`
`TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEADSET
`
`— Always store the Jabra SPORT with the power off and safely
`protected
`
`— Avoid storage at extreme temperatures (above 45°C/ 1 13°F —
`including direct sunlight — or below —1 0°C/14°F). This
`can shorten battery life and may affect operation. High
`temperatures may also degrade performance.
`
`-
`
`Ensure the USB cover is completely covered to protect against
`water/sweat.

`

`GLOSSARY
`
`1 Bluetooth is a radio technology that connects devices, such
`as mobile phones and headsets, without wires or cords over
`a short distance (approx. 10 meters/33 feet). Bluetooth is safe
`to use. It is secure too, so once a connection has been made
`no-one can listen in and there is no interference from other
`Bluetooth devices either. Get more information at
`www.bluetooth.com.
`
`Bluetooth profiles are the different ways that Bluetooth
`devices communicate with other devices. Bluetooth phones
`support the headset profile, the hands—free profile or both. In
`order to support a certain profile, a phone manufacturer must
`implement certain mandatory features within the phone’s
`software.
`
`Pairing creates a unique and encrypted link between two
`Bluetooth devices and lets them communicate with each other.
`Bluetooth devices will not work ifthe devices have not been
`
`paired.
`
`Passkey or PIN is a code that you enter on your Bluetooth enabled
`device (e.g. a mobile phone) to pair it with your Jabra SPORT.
`This makes your device and the Jabra SPORT recognize each
`other and automatically work together.
`
`Standby mode is when the Jabra SPORT is passively waiting
`for a call. When you 'end’a call on your mobile phone, the
`headset goes into standby mode.
