`
`
`On January 6, 2021, MobileIron, Inc. (“MobileIron”) sent an email to
`the Board requesting authorization to file a motion for an extension of the
`deadlines for filing its Patent Owner preliminary responses in
`IPR2020-01519, -1593, -1594, -1604, and -1634. See Ex. 3001. MobileIron
`stated that (i) it recently was acquired by a third party in a transaction that
`closed on December 1, 2020, and (ii) that it was changing its counsel for
`these proceedings, with the new counsel having filed updated powers of
`attorney and mandatory notices, and the former counsel having filed motions
`to withdraw with the Board. Id. Blackberry Limited (“Blackberry”) sent an
`email to the Board informing us that it opposed MobileIron’s request to the
`extent it would delay the dates for a decision on institution or a subsequent
`final written decision. Id.
` On January 11, 2021, MobileIron sent an additional email to the
`Board informing us that the parties had reached an agreement regarding
`extending the deadlines for the Patent Owner preliminary responses for each
`of the nine inter partes review proceedings listed above. Id. These extended
`deadlines that the parties now seek are as follows:

`
`Rule 37 C.F.R. 42.5(c)(2) provides that “[a] request for an extension
`
`of time must be supported by a showing of good cause.” Based upon the
`representations in MobileIron’s January 6, 2021 email, and coupled with the
`parties’ agreement, we determine that good cause exists for granting the
`request for the extensions of time.
`
`In consideration of the foregoing, it is hereby
`ORDERED that the parties’ request for extensions of time for the
`Patent Owner preliminary responses in the above-listed proceedings is
`granted; and
`FURTHER ORDERED that the deadline for filing a Patent Owner
`preliminary response pursuant to 35 U.S.C. § 313 and 37 C.F.R. § 42.107 in
`each of the above listed proceedings is the corresponding requested deadline,
`as shown in the table above.
