`(“Qualcomm”) hereby requests an opportunity to present oral argument regarding
`
`the unpatentability of the instituted claims of U.S. Patent No. 9,154,356 (“the ’356
`
`patent”).
`
`Specifically, Qualcomm plans to present arguments on:
`
`1. The correct construction of the claim term “carrier aggregation”;
`
`2. Why claims 2–8 and 11 are not obvious under 35 U.S.C. § 103 over Jeon
`
`and Xiong;
`
`3. Why claims 2–8 and 11 are not obvious under 35 U.S.C. § 103 over Jeon,
`
`Xiong, and the Feasibility Study; and,
`
`4. Any additional issues on which the Board seeks clarification, or which the
`
`Board deems necessary for issuing a final written decision.
`
`This request is being filed concurrently with a Request for Oral Argument in
`
`related cases IPR2019-00047 and IPR2019-00048, which are scheduled for oral
`
`argument on the same day (April 7, 2020).
`
`Qualcomm requests to use audio/visual equipment to display demonstrative
`
`exhibits, including the use of a projector and screen for a PowerPoint display. In
`
`accordance with the Trial Practice Guide, 77 Fed. Reg. at 48768, Qualcomm will
`
`contact the Board Trial Division paralegal to discuss this request.
