Ethicon Technology Tutorial
`
`Slide 20
`The accused products in this case include Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci Si, Xi, and X
`surgical systems and robotic surgical staplers for use with those systems. Stapler
`reloads for the robotic surgical staplers are also accused. Intuitive Surgical introduced
`its first robotic stapler instrument for its da Vinci Si robot in March 2013. This stapler
`produced a 45mm staple line. Intuitive has since introduced 45mm and 30mm stap-
`lers for its da Vinci Xi robot. The accused products include a surgeon console, a patient
`cart where the accused surgical staplers are connected, and a vision cart. This con-
`cludes the background discussion in this tutorial. My colleague Anish Desai will now
`discuss the asserted patents in more detail.
