`compressibility a measure of the ease of compacting a di screte quantity
`of material into a nom·esilient mass; granu les for tableting must exhibit a
`hi gh degree of compressibility; liquids exhibit low compressibility, whereas
`gases are highly compressible
`compression process of rendering a di screte quantity of substance more
`dense or more co mpact; examples: solid granules to tablets, gases to liq(cid:173)
