`RELIEF REQUESTED
`
`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. §§ 42.10(c) and 11.116, and as authorized by the Board
`
`in an email from Maria King dated October 30, 2018, Patent Owner Almirall, LLC
`
`(“Patent Owner”) respectfully requests that the Board authorize withdrawal of Scott
`
`E. Kamholz and Jessica L. Parezo of Covington & Burling LLP as its lead and
`
`backup counsel.
`

`
`STATEMENT SHOWING GOOD CAUSE FOR THE BOARD TO
`AUTHORIZE WITHDRAWAL OF COUNSEL
`
`On October 12, 2018, Patent Owner submitted updated mandatory notices to
`
`reflect a change in ownership of the patent, as established by a confirmatory
`
`assignment from Allergan, Inc. to Almirall, LLC, executed October 10, 2018 and
`
`submitted for recordation on October 11, 2018. (Paper 13; Exhibit 2001.) As
`
`indicated in the updated mandatory notices, lead and backup counsel Scott E.
`
`Kamholz and Jessica L. Parezo have not been engaged to represent Almirall, LLC.
`

`
`On October 29, 2018, Almirall, LLC submitted new updated mandatory
`
`notices and power of attorney appointing practitioners associated with Fenwick &
`
`West LLP, including James Trainor (Reg. No. 52,297), Ewa M. Davison (Reg. No.
`
`74,498), and Elizabeth B. Hagan (pro hac vice to be filed), as lead and backup
`
`counsel.

`Authorizing withdrawal of current counsel of record will allow Almirall,
`
`LLC’s engaged counsel, Fenwick & West, to appear and file on behalf of Patent
`
`Owner Almirall, LLC.

`III. PETITIONER DOES NOT OBJECT
`
`Petitioner has indicated that it does not oppose the requested withdrawal of
`
`counsel for Patent Owner.
`
`IV. CONCLUSION
`
`Patent Owner respectfully requests that the Board grant its motion to
`
`authorize withdrawal of current counsel of record.
