`Petitioner’s Motion to Seal
`37 C.F.R. §§ 42.5, 42.14
`
`
`
`
`
`IPR2018-00067
`Patent 8,577,813 B2
`
`
`
`I. PETITIONER’S MOTION TO SEAL
`
`Petitioner moves unopposed to seal and therefore maintain restricted
`
`access to: Exhibits 1036, 1037, 2011, 2012, and 2017; Petitioner’s Reply
`
`(Paper 39); Patent Owner’s Response (Paper 28); and Patent Owner’s
`
`Corrected Response (Papers 48 and 49 (redline)). Motion to Seal, 2–3
`
`(Paper 55). Petitioner also requests that we accept public, redacted versions
`
`of: Exhibits 1036, 1037, and 2017 as Exhibits 1043, 1044, and 2016,
`
`respectively; Petitioner’s Reply (Paper 56); Patent Owner’s Response
`
`(Paper 27); Patent Owner’s Corrected Response (Paper 50); and Patent
`
`Owner’s Oral Hearing Demonstratives (Exhibit 2016). Id. Finally, Petitioner
`
`requests that we expunge the prior public version of Petitioner’s Reply
`
`(Paper 38). Id. at 2.
`
`The Motion to Seal persuades us that good cause supports protecting
`
`the information Petitioner seeks to seal under the Protective Order. Id. at 3–
`
`10; see 37 C.F.R. § 43.54. “Confidential information subject to a protective
`
`order ordinarily would become public 45 days after denial of a petition to
`
`institute a trial or 45 days after final judgment in a trial.” Office Patent Trial
`
`Practice Guide, 77 Fed. Reg. 48,756, 48,761 (Aug. 14, 2012). “A party
`
`seeking to maintain the confidentiality of information, however, may file a
`
`motion to expunge the information from the record prior to the information
`
`becoming public.” Id. (citing 37 C.F.R. § 42.56).
`
`It is therefore
`
`II. ORDER
`
`ORDERED that Petitioner’s Motion to Seal (Paper 55) is granted.
