`I. MANDATORY NOTICE
`
`
`Patent Owner, Geographic Location Innovations, LLC (“GLI”), does
`
`wherewith request an extension of thirty (30) days to respond to the Petition for Inter
`
`Partes Review of U.S. Patent 7,917,285 (the “Petition”) filed by Unified Patents Inc.
`
`(“Unified”) on September 1, 2017. GLI’s counsel Jay Johnson has attempted to contact
`
`Unified’s counsel regarding GLI’s request for an extension to respond but has been
`
`unable reach Unified’s counsel.
`
`GLI believes good cause exists for the extension to respond to the Petition
`
`because it did not receive notice of the Petition until September 5, 2017. Furthermore,
`
`GLI’s managing member and his advising attorney have been traveling on numerous
`
`occasions during the allowed response period including its current travels for a mediation
`
`in an unrelated matter.
`
`For the foregoing reasons GLI respectfully requests a thirty (30) day
`
`extension to file its preliminary response.
