`I am over the age of eighteen (18) and otherwise competent to make this

`declaration.

`My name is Culley Carson. I am currently the John Sloan Rhodes and
`
`John Flint Rhodes Distinguished Professor of Urology in the Department of Urology
`
`at the UNC School of Medicine. I understand that my declaration is being submitted
`
`in connection with a Petition for Inter Partes Review of U.S. Patent No. 6,943,166
`
`(the “’166 patent”) (Ex. 1001).
`

`I received a M.D. from George Washington University School of
`
`Medicine in Washington, D.C. I was a Surgical Intern and Surgical Resident at the
`
`Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. I completed my
`
`urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following residency at the
`
`Mayo Clinic, I joined the faculty at Duke University Medical Center, advancing from
`
`Assistant Professor to Professor of Urology. I served as Chief of the UNC Division
`
`of Urology from 1993 to 2010.
`

`I have over 20 years of experience as an academic urologist and as a
`
`practicing urologist in the field of clinical urology that includes areas such as male
`
`sexual and erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease, and penile prostheses. I have
`
`published more than two hundred peer review publications and edited several
`
`textbooks.

`I have been retained in this matter by Argentum Pharmaceuticals LLC
`
`(“Petitioner”) as a technical expert to provide analysis and opinions regarding the
`
`’166 patent. I am being compensated for my work in this matter at my usual and
`
`customary rate of $700 per hour. I have no personal or financial stake or interest in
`
`the outcome of the Petition for Inter Partes Review or any related action. My
`
`compensation in no way depends upon my testimony or the outcome of the Petition
`
`for Inter Partes Review.

`I have been advised that Laurence & Phillips IP Law LLP represents
`
`Argentum Pharmaceuticals LLC (collectively, “Argentum” or “Petitioner”) in this
`
`matter and that ICOS Corporation (“Patent Owner”) owns the ’166 patent. I have no
`
`personal or financial stake or interest in Argentum, ICOS Corporation, or the ’166
`
`patent.

`I understand that the ’166 patent is currently subject to a previous IPR,
`
`Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. v. ICOS Corporation, IPR2017-00323 (“Mylan IPR”).

`I understand that the Mylan IPR has been instituted as of June 12, 2017 and that

`Petitioner Argentum seeks to become a party to the Mylan IPR.
