` INTRODUCTION
`Watson Laboratories, Inc. (“Petitioner” or “Watson”) moves for an
`Order allowing Mr. Kurt A. Mathas to appear pro hac vice on behalf of
`Petitioner. IPR2017-01621, Paper 12; IPR2017-01622, Paper 11; see also,
`Ex. 1167 (Declaration of Mr. Mathas in Support of Motion for Pro Hac Vice
`Admission). United Therapeutics Corp. (“Patent Owner” or “UTC”) has not
`opposed the motion.
`Petitioner’s motion is granted. Petitioner shall confirm that its
`mandatory notices and official electronic file records have been updated
`accordingly. Counsel recognized pro hac vice shall comply with 37 C.F.R.
`Parts 11 and 42 and the Office Patent Trial Practice Guide, 77 Fed. Reg.
`48755 (Aug. 14, 2012), and are subject to disciplinary jurisdiction under 37
`C.F.R. § 11.19(a).
` Accordingly, it is
` ORDERED that Petitioner’s motion for pro vice recognition of Mr.
`Mathas is granted; Mr. Mathas is authorized to represent Petitioner as backup
`counsel in the instant proceedings;
` FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Mathas shall comply with the Office
`Patent Trial Practice Guide and the Board’s Rules of Practice for Trials, as set
`forth in Part 42 of the C.F.R.; and
` FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Mathas shall be subject to the Office’s
`disciplinary jurisdiction under 37 C.F.R. § 11.19(a) and the Office’s Rules of
`Professional Conduct set forth in 37 C.F.R. §§ 11.101–11.901.
