`for Inter Partes Review of US Patent No. 8,489,868 in IPR2017-01619 and

`IPR2017—01620. Exhibits 1016 and 1037 are each'excerpts of a true and correct

`copy of Gong, Li, “Inside Java 2 Platform Security Architecture: Cryptography,
`
`APIs, and Implementation” (hereinafter, “Gong”), a book I authored while
`
`employed at Sun Microsystems in Cupertino, California.
`

`As detailed below in paragraphs 5-6, Gong was available publicly and
`
`sold to the public before September 21, 2000.
`

`
`Gong was released to the public and available for purchase by the
`
`public no later than the JavaOne conference in June of 1999, which I attended.
`
`I

`held a book signing for Gong during the conference. Gong was also available for
`
`purchase by the public over the Internet in 1999.
`

`I began receiving royalty payments for sales of Gong in the second
`
`half of 1999.
