`Patent Owner Genentech, Inc. (“Genentech”) respectfully requests oral

`argument in IPR2017-01489 under § 42.70(a). Pursuant to the Board’s January 29,
`
`2018 Order (Paper 37), oral argument is currently scheduled for July 16, 2018
`
`together with oral argument in IPR2017-01488. The principal issues to be argued
`
`will include:
`
` The patentability of claims 12, 63-67, and 71-79 under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a)
`
`over the combination of Queen 1989 and the Protein Data Bank (PDB)
`
`database;
`
` The patentability of claims 4, 12, 62-67, 69, and 71-79 under 35 U.S.C. §
`
`103(a) over the combination of Queen 1990 and the PDB database;
`
` The patentability of claims 65, 75-77, and 79 under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) over
`
`the combination of Queen 1989, PDB database, and Tramontano;
`
` The patentability of claims 65, 75-77, and 79 under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) over
`
`the combination of Queen 1990, PDB database, and Tramontano;
`
` The patentability of claims 4, 62, 64, and 69 under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) over
`
`the combination of Queen 1989, PDB database, and Kabat 1987;

` The patentability of claims 30, 31, 42, and 60 under 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) over

`Genentech requests the ability to use audio-visual equipment to display
`
`
`
`
`
`demonstrative exhibits, including a projector and screen to display PowerPoint
`
`slides. If this request for oral hearing is granted, Genentech will direct its requests
`
`for audio-visual equipment to Trials@uspto.gov.
`
`
`
`Genentech requests a total of one hour to present its arguments in
`
`connection with IPR2017-01488 and IPR2017-01489, i.e., two hours total for
`
`IPR2017-01373, IPR2017-01374, IPR2017-01488, and IPR2017-01489.
`
`Genentech also informs the Board that it anticipates that more than five
`
`individuals, including counsel, will attend the argument on its behalf.
