`Granting Patent Owner’s Motion for Withdrawal and
`Substitution of Counsel

`Patent Owner moves for the Board to allow Mr. Jeffrey P. Kushan of
`Sidley Austin LLP to withdraw as lead counsel, and Mr. Paul J. Zegger of
`Sidley Austin LLP to withdraw as backup counsel in this proceeding. Paper
`5, 2. Patent Owner seeks to substitute Mr. Christopher Sipes of Covington
`& Burling LLP as lead counsel, and Ms. Andrea G. Reister of Covington &
`Burling LLP as back-up counsel. By email, dated March 20, 2017, we
`authorized Patent Owner to file the motion. The motion includes a statement
`that it is unopposed by Petitioner. Id. at 3.
`Subsequently, Patent Owner filed a Power of Attorney that appoints
`“practitioners associated with Customer Number 26853” as its attorneys to
`transact all business with United States Patent & Trademark Office
`associated with this proceeding. Paper 6, 3. The appointment designates
`Mr. Sipes as lead counsel and Ms. Reister as back-up counsel. Id.
`Additionally, Patent Owner updated its Mandatory Notices to designate Mr.
`Sipes as lead counsel and Ms. Reister as back-up counsel. Paper 7, 2.
`Upon considering Patent Owner’s motion, along with its Power of
`Attorney and updated Mandatory Notices, we grant the motion.
`Accordingly, it is
`ORDERED that Patent Owner’s Motion for Withdrawal and
`Substitution of Counsel is granted;
`FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Jeffrey P. Kushan and Mr. Paul J.
`Zegger are considered to have withdrawn as counsel for Patent Owner and
`no further filings are necessary to effectuate that action; and
`FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Christopher Sipes is recognized as
`lead counsel and Ms. Andrea G. Reister is recognized as back-up counsel for
`Patent Owner in this proceeding.
