`Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70(a), Petitioner Apple Inc. respectfully submits
`
`this Request for an Oral Argument on the grounds of unpatentability on which trial
`
`was instituted, and any additional issues on which the Board seeks clarification. In
`
`its scheduling order, the Board has set the date of an oral hearing in this proceeding
`
`for April 25, 2018. Paper No. 8. IPR2017-00626, also filed by Apple, involves the
`
`same patent and is scheduled for oral hearing on April 25, 2018 before this panel.
`
`Petitioner respectfully requests that the Board hold a single combined oral hearing
`
`that addresses both proceedings.
`
`Each of IPR2017-00626 and IPR-00627 is directed to the same 35 claims
`
`but is directed to a different primary reference. Although each proceeding is
`
`directed to the same claims, together the two proceedings involve 15 distinct
`
`grounds based on different combinations of references, and Patent Owner has
`
`raised distinct arguments with respect to the combinations. Consequently,
`
`Petitioner requests that each party be provided with 60 minutes of total argument
`
`time. Petitioner proposes that it present its initial argument (up to 60 minutes), that
`
`Patent Owner follow with its response (up to 60 minutes), and that Petitioner uses
`
`any remaining time for rebuttal.
