`Career milestones:
`
`Dayton, Ohio
`
`Washington, DC
`
`I have had a significant impact on the robot and flexible automation
`industry. Some of my significant developments and accomplishments
`are provided as follows:
`
`
`
` Developed the first adaptive control for arc welding robots
`utilizing a separate microprocessor control for Clark Reliance.
`Produced the first fully automatic PID loop controlled high-speed
`beverage filling systems for PEPSI Cola.
` Developed the “flexible bowl” feeding system for ITT.
` Designed and installed an automatic system for sorting, moment
`weighing and palletizing system for jet engine turbine blades.
` Developed the first robotic arc welding workcell with isolated
`ground path capability.
` Manufactured the first fully programmable casting trimming
`system for the foundry industry.
` Manufactured the first controlled anhydrous casting cooler system
`for the foundry industry. The term “casting cooler” has become a
`generic tem in the foundry industry.
` Developed the Protocol Risk assessment method of determining
`the proper safeguards necessary for a robot installation.
` Developed the terms “field risk assessment” and “design risk
`assessment” that is used by industry to define the stages of
`development of a robot workcell.
`Lead the effort, as Chairman of the North American Die Cast
`Association Safety Committee, to produce the first National
`Standard for Die Casting Safety.
`Lead the effort, as Chairman of the American Welding Society
`Committee on Robots and Automation to produce the first National
`Standard for Robot welding Standardization.
` Developed the first system for robotically welding structural
