`I am currently a Research Services Librarian employed by the University of Notre Dame.

`I have been employed here for I year. I have 23 years of experience working for

`academic libraries.

`I have reviewed the University ofNotre Dame's Hesburgh Library's records concerning
`
`the dissertation titled "A new file system for mobile computing" by John Saldanha. The
`
`records indicate that a record of this dissertation was created by February 28, 1997
`
`("record creation date"). The record indicates that title of the dissertation, the author's
`
`name, the director of the dissertation, and the academic department the dissertation was
`
`completed for. The record also indicates that the dissertation was completed in 1996.
`
`4.
`
`According to normal business practices during the 1997 timeframe, the dissertation
`
`would have been shelved in the Hesburgh Library and available to the public within
`
`approximately one to two months of the 1997 record creation date.
`
`5.
`
`A member of the public would have been able to search for and access the dissertation
`
`having any one of the title of the dissertation, the author's name, and the academic
`
`department the dissertation was completed for.
`
`6.
`
